THE LIBRARY
The McDonald Memorial Library has played a vital role in the life of Northside Church since 1957 and is designed for use by all ages of the Northside family. The extensive inventory of more than 3500 items ranges from children’s books to sermon recordings, from teaching materials to guides on how to deal with death and loss. We are constantly adding to this inventory based on the recommendations of the Library Committee and the church’s Education Department. We welcome the donation of new books in honor or memory of a loved one or friend.
The purpose of Northside’s library is to provide its members with the best religious, devotional, denominational, and Christian reference as possible within the limits of its funding and available space. Its goal is to support all ages in their search for spiritual growth and development. In addition, the library provides materials for the wholesome use of leisure time for enrichment of personal lives.
The McDonald Library is located on the first floor of the church directly under the Parlor, between the Preschool and the Music Department. It is most easily accessed via the elevator (take elevator to first floor, turn left, then an immediate left down the hallway—the library entrance will be on your left). You may also take the stairs from the Narthex down to the first floor. You would then turn left and the library will be on your right.
